A letter from Association for Asian Studies arrived today:
Dear AAS member/Subscriber,
I write to inform you of a possible problem with the latest issue of the Journal of Asian Studies (vol. 64#2). It has come to our attention that on a significant number of copies the front matter and first 20-odd pages of the JAS have been replaced with a section of the journal "Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture" during the printing and binding process. [...] Being an overseas member, I haven't yet received either my copy of the first print or the reprinted copy that the association has decided to arrange. Wonder if the misprint will become a collectors's item as happens sometimes with stamps. No? Really? |

It never occurred to me that it might become a collector's item. I just threw out my copy!
