busier with the course blog

I've been using increasingly more of my time allotted for blogging in the site I have for the course I keep this semester (Korean nykyhistorian kysymyksiä / "topics of Korean modern history"). Sure I should be reasonable with the time I invest in that site - making the modest lecturing fee even more modest by using more hours for the class - but I'm intrigued of the possibilities given by such an additional teaching method. It hasn't become such a site of two-way communication as I hoped (in my wildest dreams), but the site meter shows that course participants do visit the site, so it seems I'm not toiling in vain. Since I teach the course in Finnish, the course blog is in the same language as well - it would make little sense to have entries there in English as much of the contents are notes for lectures and cut-and-paste summaries of lectures already given. Well, at least I have the lectures to express my sort-of-expertise in my own language...

The picture: poster for the Southern elections in May 1948 encouraging to vote.
